Nobody Moves Forward Under Normal Circumstances...

What moves some people forward has the capacity to move others backward, while some will remain stagnated at a place. The difference is in the attitude and mindset of people. When we talk about moving forward, certain facilitating factors are considered because nothing in life happens by chance. For every motion, there is a corresponding force behind it! One may not make progress in life except sometimes under duress (distress makes for discovery). There are certain conditions in disguise that can be indicators or pointers to stir you up. It takes an inner understanding of such conditions which most times are not palatable at face value.
The crisis and problems of life are really push buttons for people to move on with their life to a glorious destiny. I have come to understand that what people call setbacks and stumbling blocks are really stepping stones and building blocks in disguise! The only way for the Israelites to have experienced the parting of the red sea was for them to be under severe tension occasioned by the pursuit of Pharaoh and his chariots. Under normal circumstances, they wouldn’t have thought of moving forward in that direction; maybe they would have comfortably relaxed and thus proffer a way to avoid the red sea. But the pressure they faced was an opportunity for them to move in the direction of the red sea as it was the only option at that moment. It was an unforgettable and life changing experience for them! Seeing the force of nature swallowed by the supernatural force as Moses struck the red sea with his rod. This is actually what happens when we face unusual situations; OPPORTUNITY is thrown up for us to MANIFEST the UNUSUAL from the USUAL.

To Move Forward, You Must Forget The Past (Both In The Context Of Positive And Negative Experiences)

Whatever achievements and failures that has ‘past’ tags on them must not be brought to the fore for you to move forward. They all must be kept behind Phil 3:13-14. The past is one of the key enemies of the future – success or failure of the past has the capacity to whittle down your present efforts to futility! For success, it has the power to make you feel you have ‘arrived’ and this can cause laxity (you may not want to put in greater efforts for higher outputs). You might decide to take life easy as though you have reached your destination. On the other hand, past failures can dissuade you from making efforts to succeed; one might develop a sense of ill feeling about the future since there is nothing to show for past efforts. In order to avoid being a victim of the negative tendencies that are associated with past successes and failures, one should not lean on them. The best you can do is to learn from your experiences so that you can move forward.
You can learn about what made you succeed so that you can have more successes. In addition, learn from the experiences of your failures and know why you failed. In all, we should learn from our pasts and not lean on them! Isaiah 43:18-19.

“You can’t start the next chapter of your life if you keep re-reading the last one”.
